2025-09-06 –, Track 1
From The Jetsons’ flying cars to today’s AI assistants, we compare past predictions with today’s reality—and make bold calls on what’s next. As quantum leaps and smart machines reshape our world, cybersecurity must evolve just as quickly to keep innovation safe. The future may not look exactly like The Jetsons, but it’s closer than you think.
Life at the speed of tech is moving faster and faster. Not long ago, a computer filled a room, storage was measured in megabytes, and the idea of video calls or smart homes belonged firmly in The Jetsons, right next to flying cars. Fast forward to today, and AI is writing, driving, and diagnosing; quantum computing is pushing at the boundaries of possibility; and we’re generating more data than humanity has ever seen.
In this talk, we’ll journey through where we’ve come from and where we’re heading: comparing past predictions with today’s realities, unpacking the promises (and perils) of emerging technologies, and asking how culture and community will shape what comes next. Cybersecurity threads through it all because every leap forward opens new vulnerabilities that demand creativity, resilience, and vigilance.
So the question is: with innovation hurtling ahead at breakneck speed, can we truly keep up?
